After having verified this very sad news i have remove both Catalyst Prepare and Catalyst Edit and only keep Catalyst Browse and accept the lost of about $450 but a least it will be a one lost forever.

I was with FCP X , Logic Pro X , Motion 5 , Compressor , Main Stage , Toast Titanium 14 and only add Catalyst Solutions as a side test solution but now will stay with what i where using Prior to Catalyst Offer from Sony.

If needed i may add Davinci Resolve free or paid unless they go subscription too in that case only Apple will be used ….. Sony made Softwares , Hardwares , Entertainments so like Apple but make this bad move.

Thank you for that precious news.

Metal in El Capitan for rendering is a potential good point and also the Apple Photos with Extension plugins.

How to set default folders and default hard-drives in either Catalyst Browser and Catalyst Prepare.
Simple but can’t find any preferences settings to do this by default on any of your applications.
It is frustrating to find any apps who target the boot drive and home folder by default.

What should be the workflow using Sony Catalyst Prepare with FCP X at the moment for test purpose.
I understand using Sony Content Browser is the only option now but to get the feel of Catalyst at least.
I still need to know is there any bug using Content Browser with Apple Yosemite 10.10 public version.

Thank-you Ian Cook , I am allready under Yosemite and iOS 8.1 , it was needed for best compatibility.
So can you tell us if Yosemite and Content Browser even if not supported present problem at the moment.
Since he may take a while for Catalyst Prepare to match Content Browser for Xdcam Workflow in OS X 10.10 , even if not official a working Content Browser in Yosemite is welcome.

I simply import a Prores file either in Compressor or Toast the difference ; Toast do the Blu-ray Including compression and burning without problem but Compressor do the compression very well but at the end the burning trigger problem including Apple Disk Utility crash and MACGO Blu-ray Player Software cant play the disc ….. and let me tell you this software play anything including Hollywood Blockbusters and a legal player software, to conclude Apple Compressor Team have contact me by phone on tuesday and i have send to them the files requested and are aware there is a problem and working on it to fix-it.
