Ok, did that. But now I’m not even getting ANY picture. Not even when i click single frame and show current like I was getting before. The signal is there but no picture.

Yes I changed them from CMYK to RGB. and YES the stills DO have a frame size of 4096×6144 or higher! What is the recommended frame size to decrease them to for an HD project?

Well the thing is, I am RE DIGITIZING some tapes someone else did on a DVC PRO deck that needs to be serviced. Whenever there would be a high exposed shot it would pixelate big time. When he digitized on his deck it was going to 29 frames. When I was digitizing directly from an HDX 900 camera it was going to 59 frames.

Ok cool. Thanks! But I looked at some clips someone else digitized using the same format and the clips go to 29 frames not 59. Some frames still get removed but once it hit 29 frames it went back to 0. Meanwhile my digitize goes to 59 and then to 0.

It has a 24p look for sure! Doesnt have soap operaey, news at 6 look.
I figured out a way around this I think. Im making DVC PRO HD 29.97 SEQ’s and dropping the footage in this and syncing IN the timeline rather than multiclipping. It seems to be working just fine. I chose 29.97 because i am also making DVDs for transcription with burnt in timecode and the timecode character display from the deck is going to 29 frames.

I just did one clip in the DVC PRO HD frame converter from 59.94 to 23.98 but when I played the converted clip back it didnt have any sound.
In the conversion options i selected: 23.98, Remove Duplicate Frames, and Make Self Contained File. I didnt check Import result into FCP.

But why are the tapes capturing at 59.94 sometimes and 23.98 sometimes!? It’s really random

Thanks for the response! Yes we have about 10 g-raids ranging from the 1tb to 3tb range each and we’ve never had any problems. The most I do is backing up the FCP project files on our server. Backing up all the media that lives on these drives would require another 5 or 6 TB of additional space! Damn…
