The frame rate I want to use is 24p and edit at 1080p, so I have my settings at 1920×1080, frame rate 23.976 and the default pixel ratio was square pixel, I don’t know if that’s right?

The background of the crawl is a slideshow of still images, With the crawl typface as Copperplate.

I have a 20in Apple Monitor, with a quad core G5 with 4 GB of ram, and a nice graphics card.

Once I get in the office tomorrow I will upload the file to an FTP for you to look at it. Should I do a full size upload or would that be a wastee of time?

The Mercury Jones preset didn’t do the trick for me, does HD have something to do with it, or does the text selection (Never had an issue before with the text I’ve used for the past 3 years), or do I need to be in 29.97 vs. 23.976? Or something else?

I understand that, but when there are elements that I’m garbage matting that have the same color, I will need to find an alternative to using ‘Leave Color’ so that’s all I’m asking. Thanks again for your time.

What is the best method to achieve a clean black and white image? I’ve found a few, but I’m not too happy with them, do you have one that you prefer. And thanks a lot Dave, I appreciate it.

The issue I think I might have is that there are people moving everywhere in the sequence, and they have red, and I also want to keep the flashing red light as it is, so it seems like a garbage matte would have to be a lot more precise, right?

I thought about doing that, but if you look at the original and how the light reflects off certain things, I don’t want to lose all of that, which could be a overly complicated garbage matte, right?

But if that’s the only way to really do it right, then I’ll take that route.
