I have tried many different rendering techniques, how can I minimize the flickering caused by my lights shadows on the pictures?

Thanks again, worked perfectly. I think what was happening with the other comma came from how I had set up the expression. Fixed it, all is good.

A Couple more question. With that same code, I want to add a $ sign before the numbers? And also if I go to over 1 million, the ‘ , ‘ comes before the numbers i.e ‘ ,345,000 ‘ or
‘ ,690,000’ I want to remove the first comma until I do actually cross the 1 million number how can I do that?

“No advice yet – just seeking some clarity.

When you say the clip worked, under what conditions were you referring? Did you download it and view it in an NLE program? If so, which one? Or did you just do a playback from the camera while on the set and it seemed fine? ”

It looks like what happened was the battery on our Steadicam rig went down causing the camera and everything else to go down as well, so we lost all the information on the shot. But I wasn’t on set when this all happened and it wasn’t brought to my attention. So I transfered the cards and lost the important information on that shot. It’s too bad too, but not a big deal financially, thankfully. We can make up the shot at no major expense to us. Thanks for your response

Thanks, I will see what I can muster with that technique. Any other thoughts would be welcomed.

Here is a good site to get you started on your own:

    Dan Ebberts’s Expression website

From there you can piece things together, there are advanced tutorials that go into it. I don’t think there is any class. You might be able to get someone here who could help you at a small fee?

    Good luck

That looks great, I will play around with it and see if II can tweak it. But I like where you were going with it, it’d be nice to see if you completed the spot. In my humble opinions I think you have nailed it on the spot, I couldn’t tell too much of a difference between their flares and yours. Well done Mike and thanks for posting that, it’ll be useful

I am trying to do the exact same thing, the only thing I can’t get in Trapcode Particular are the short bursts of light, the long ones I’ve nailed, any suggestions on what settings to use in particular for that? Thanks and sorry for jumping in
