Hello

Sounds very frustrating but the tech support sounds right. Multibridge does not support these frame rates. This has been a requested feature for some time

PS-

Its has a built in FireWire port for direct connection to your. Alternatively you can get a card reader, eject the Flash media from the Tascam and copy to you Mac via USB.

Hello

Have you looked at the Tascam HD-P2?

I have yet to use it in conjunction with FCP but it has robust Timecode features, generates a XML file and I have been happy with its performance and features.

Alternatively you can try downloading and installing something called Perian_0.5
from versiontracker.com.

It says that it will allow QuickTime to open a lot of types of AVI. If it works then go back to the suggestions listed in previous posts for exporting.

Does the AVI open on the Mac in QuickTime?

If it does then check the AVI resolution and frame rate, if it matches you editing setup, then you can export from QuickTime Pro to the desired FCP codec/playback setting.
