You are correct, Charlie. Don’t think my issue has to do with linear or smooth options…it seems that FCP X is adding motion where I don;t want it…nor have I added keyframes to create the motion…it is just seemingly moving without me telling it to!

    I checked…no extra keyframes to be found…I’m mystified…and frustrated!

Same problem…I also am noticing that when I move the jpg to the new position, the actual keyframe movement follows the path of HOW I moved it…including the movements if I over adjust it before finding the final desired position.

    Thanks for your response, Loren,
First of all, this is a project & event created in FCP X 10.0.7

I’m not sure I understand when you say “If you use the arrow to reset the transform properties, then make all of your adjustments in the inspector pane will it work as intended”.
Can you clarify exactly what you mean by using the arrow to reset the transform properties? If you could walk, step by step, through the process, I would really appreciate it…I know it can be tedious, but I really need to figure this out…and fast!
    Thanks

Steve, thanks again for the tip…I figured it out and it worked great! Wondering if there is a way to move the image using wireframe instead of typing in numeric changes.
    Thanks,

    Dan

Thanks for the response… I’m not really sure what corner pin means… or how to do it. Would you mind explaining the process in a little more detail?
    Thanks

July 16, 2012 at 5:29 pm in reply to: Why is QT Export taking so long?

None of the reasons listed above would explain it…all videos are rendered, identical codec, effects, etc…no motion applied, etc.

  • Thanks for the help, Steve. I ended up re-transferring all the material into FCP as ProRes 422(LT)…took a day and a half to transfer, but it’s all in now and seems much easier to work with. Thanks again for your advice.

    Thank Shane,
Just finished re-transferring to ProRes 422(LT)…muuuuuuuccccchhhh better. Thanks for the help.
One other question – I am assuming that for web video distribution, ProRes 422(LT) will be sufficient…thoughts? But if not, what is the easiest way to res up the final edit to ProRes 422 or ProRes 4444? The ProRes 4444 is taking up over 800 GB…so I would like to delete to free up space on the hard drive. So…question is – should I delete all of the 4444 and up res, if necessary at the end afet completing final edit?…or should I keep all of the 4444 video to up-res at the end?
    Thanks
