A hacker giving away his training for free is one thing. Leaking screenshots is another. Deep deep down inside, I have to admit I’m not really morally against the leaking of the screenshots. If anything, I see it more as a wakeup call to Apple to treat professionals like adults, and not trendy crazy teenagers. Honestly, what did we learn from those screenshots that we didn’t already know?

Hopefully this will encourage more transparency in Apple’s future developments. I’m not saying hacking is right, but I have absolutely HATED being kept in the dark about the future of these programs. Especially because it influences my own future so much. I feel like it’s disrespectful to customers. If it were some dumb goofy thing like the next iPod, that’s one thing–but when it’s my livelihood, that’s another.

On the other hand, this post gives us as much “fact” about fcpx as pretty much any other post on this forum…

He does, but it doesn’t play nice with CS5… well, the freebie doesn’t at least, and the paid for version isn’t out yet. I would use this all the time though, for when I import text by character, or objects in their original comp settings to retain position. I think though that there’s a way to export from PS that retains the position, and crops it though… Or importing? I figured it out. I think it’s just importing as a composition and selecting ‘retain composition size.’

I believe it’s just because different programs interpret gamma differently.

Okay, this is looking like good news then. I’m not using timewarp (no need), BUT doesn’t time remapping use pixel motion too? I’m mainly speeding up footage, so it’s not interframe interpolation, and it doesn’t seem to be frame blending. Just it just skip frames and use others? Or does it use certain real frames and then try to interpolate between them for certain frames? I’m sorry that this is getting so convoluted… I appreciate the help.

Could be wrong, but it sounds like gamma is the culprit.
