    Unless I’m missing something, it seems like you have to flip the sign of the controller’s in point:

    controller=thisComp.layer(“controller”);
    t=time+controller.inPoint-inPoint;
    controller.opacity.valueAtTime(t);

    You could apply an expression like this to a text layer:

    maxTime = 7.37;
    Math.min(time,maxTime).toFixed(2);

    You’ll have to adjust maxTime for each event. You could automate the entire process with a script that would read a text file, but that’s a little more complicated.

    If you just need the value to always be between 0 and -50 as yTemp goes beyond -50, this should do it:

    yTemp%50

    Yes, thanks for thanks for the suggestion. I’m working on one that uses toFixed();

    You’ll like this 🙂

    transform.scale[0].toFixed(1)

    It’s hard to say exactly without knowing what the ranges are (what’s the 5000, for example?), but it’s likely going to involve the use of Math.floor() to hold the value at some level until the next threshold is crossed.

    Nope. You can’t alter a solid’s dimensions with an expression. You should be able to do what you want using scale, if you set it up right. Hard to say what you’d have to do differntly though, without more details about your setup.

    OK – I think I get it now. Keyframe the upper left corner and apply this expression to the other 3 corners:

    UL = effect(“Corner Pin”)(“Upper Left”);
    delta = UL – UL.valueAtTime(0);
    value + delta

    You won’t see anything happen until you keyframe the upper left corner.

    A dandelion seed simulation is an interesting idea. It’s not really random though. The position would respond to the wind which would vary somewhat, but the rotation would be a kind of spring/pendulum effect based on the acceleration imparted by the wind and gravity. Kind of like somebody hanging from a parachute. I don’t have a canned solution, but you’ve got me thinking….

    Unless I’m not understanding what you’re after (very possible), it would just be something like this:

    thisComp.layer(“bar graph layer”).height;

    If you’re scaling the bar graph layer and want the height of the scaled version, it would be like this:

    L = thisComp.layer(“bar graph layer”);
    L.height*L.scale[1]/100;
