    What do you mean by “call up comps”? Expressions can’t modify anything except the value of the property to which they are applied.

    If you actually need to create something (comps, text layers, etc) or read files (text, csv, etc.) you need a script (like the one in your refernce), not an expression. If you use a script, the changes only occur when you run the script, not in real time.

    I’m not sure I’ve helped, but I’m still not real clear on what you’re trying to do.

    There’s no way to load text or image files on the fly. You’d have to load the images and text ahead of time, by hand, or using a script. Once you have it all loaded into your project and comps, you can control when things appear via expressions.

    What are you trying to do, exactly?

    All of that is possible with scripting. It’s not likely that you’ll find anything that does exactly what you need without modification though.

    I have to admit that I never tried to figure out how it works, I just accepted the formulas and verified that they do work. There’s info about the math from a lot of different sources. Here are a couple:

    I just tried it using your layer and comp names and it works fine for me. Is it possible that you have two comps named “Equilizer” (and one of them doesn’t have a layer named “SoundKeys”)?

    It should work. What’s the error message when the expression gets disabled?

    You should just be able to pickwhip one rotation value to the other and put a minus sign in front. Depending on how you set the wings up initially, you may also have to add 180 degrees or 90 degrees (or minus 90 degrees) to get it right. Something like this:

    -thisComp.layer(“left wing”).transform.rotation + 180;

    Another thing that you can do after you move the clip is Edit > Purge > Image Caches.

    That’s interesting. Must be some kind of caching issue. If you turn the expression off and then back on it should be OK.

    I’m not sure if this solves your problem, but you can get the same property on different layers to wiggle in the same way by setting the same seed in both layers prior to wiggle(). Like this:

    seedRandom(1);
    wiggle(3,30)
