Ended up up taking my dongle in and downloading studio. All worked very well!

Thanks for getting back to me on this. That’s a shame as I get the impression they don’t want freelancers tinkering with their set-up.

    Thanks again.

I have not touched one of these panels yet but I would buy the Micro in a flash if it had the add nodes options.
The Mini is just that little bit overkill for me but looks stunning. I’ve had my Wave for over 5 years and still love working with it. The fact that Tangent panels work with other apps is a huge plus for me as I also take a Ripple with me when freelancing out of house. If Tangent made a slightly sturdier, slightly smaller panel with all the functions it has and maybe a little more I’d have one.

    Best.

Hi and thanks for getting back to me!

The client can’t upgrade from their OS at the moment the OS being Lion.
They tried upgrading to Resolve 10.5 but the app kept quitting on start up
so I want to reinstall 9 and as I said I found 9 and various point releases on my system.

    Thanks again

Think I’ve cracked it, tracked down an old V9 dmg.

    So am I!
With some useful mapping of the buttons (hello BM) and a tablet and pen you could be flying on this thing.
Love the fact it just slips in my bag.

First of all I want to thank you for your reply, very helpful!

    News update:
I started grading the programme today as if I was working with the original slog camera files, no luts involved and happy with where it’s going. I get a call telling me that there is a drive with some (not all) original log footage. Because I can’t get all the files I carry on but ask them to send drive over anyway. To cut this story short…I brought into Resolve an slog shot that has been used. Stuck it on layer 2 and applied the exact same grade (5 nodes) and toggled between layers, MXF DNX185X and slog3. To my very keen eyes and indeed the external scopes there is nothing between them, not even a nats movement on the scopes. All very interesting!

    Thanks again.
