My computer is a 2012 Macbook pro Retina 16gigs ram OS LION 10.8.2

This is kinda odd- I think I am getting a kernal panic after the app opens.

Is this with the free download version (where we email you a serial #)? Yes- I had no trouble with the password or installing the program with the provided serial # today.

The problem is after I open the program I get the interface on the right side of the screen and then the spinning beach ball.

I also had the same problem with Content Browser 1.1 (installs no problem and opens but hangs up immediately) which I also tried to install today when 2.0 would not work.

XDcam transfer is working fine.

Hoping there is a file that is corrupt or a way to totally clean out all existing files and start again

I used the uninstaller to remove Content Browser 1.1 and 2.0

Looking for some help !

I have tried to install Content browser 2.0 multiple times today with the free password from sony.

I get the app to install, but it always Hangs after immediately after opening (application not responding).

I had issues with content browser 1.0 where my F3 footage would show up with a black thumbnail with an X on it. so up until now

I have been using xdcam transfer which works fine.

I really would like to figure this out 😉

When I installed content browser 2.0 I did delete XDCAM transfer , still the app hung up after opening

I guess I will clean re-install.

It just seems odd. If the system requires a re-install, why do some projects load as they should, and others take 50 times longer.

Will I be able to do the reinstall with just the FCP 7 upgrade discs?

Thanks for the response-
It was not a clean install.
I have tried Disc-warrior-no joy
I have repaired permissions-did not help
Even when I dismount my raid- the project takes 15 min to load.
Some of my smaller projects ( 10MB ) load in 30 seconds.
I am thinking that there must be a filter,plug-in, or something in the bigger timelines that is causing this

I had the same problem. After I installed the latest FCS 2 updates, all the Drop zones for video appeared.

JS This happens without any sync connected to the camera. Based on other replies it seems that I am not the only one experiencing this. I should add that it does not happen every time, perhaps more like 70% of the time. I am really impressed by this camera, I just do not want to have to make excuses to clients even though I know it will not go down on tape. Dan
