  • Go to the Mac site… or google dual boot setup.. there’s heaps of info out there… and it is very simple.

I now have 4 boot options (Final Cut, Avid, Bootable backup of FinalCut, Windows)

I would highly recommend setting up a bootable back up using Carbon Clone Copy also… it means if you have a disaster you can boot on the back up and copy it over to your usual drive. I’ve had to do this a couple of times and it means no stress and almost no downtime.

    Anyway… good luck.

  • Thanks Michael, I have done this and all works superbly… it’s nice when setup like this works so smoothly. Thanks again.

It’s After FX… but similar concepts and good stimulus to go and teach yourself to create what you want in Motion… you know the basic now.

Yeah I got a few of them today…

The way I worked around it was use the razor blade cut the orange frame, copy it into a track above and hit render… it seems to be just a random stuff up by FC and it dosen’t render it orange again.

Kinda messy way around it, but you gotta do what you can to get the job out.

I had to build a sequence out of the render files today to output H264 through compressor as FC kept crashing because of the Motion file. Whacky software… might have to use AFX again in the future.

Thanks for that! I’ll look into that when I have time… got around it other ways… as we often have to :-).

Guess we need to be not only creative visually but also creative in making these systems do what we need them to do.
