Which DigiBeta deck are you using? Not all decks will play the Hi-Fi audio channels when using Beta SP. For example, the J series players do not support AFM audio.

I thought ‘none’ was “4:4:4” 8 bit? Am I mistaken?

I just tried with Safari. I had to rename the downloaded to file to .zip and then it opened just fine.

Try connecting the Y output of the DeckLink card to the reference input of the Beta deck, and then loop out into the Y input of the deck, and terminate. That should let the deck lock to the DeckLink.
Secondly, you can set the deck to “sync on input” in the dial menu if you are using a deck that has this feature.

Your workflow sounds correct… so not sure what to suggest. Is the deck working properly when it isn’t hooked to the DL card?

Genlock is for integration into a live “on-line” television production environment with a switcher, many tape decks, and cameras all running in sync to house black. Say for example you wanted to put your Decklink Extreme system online and run the output to a switcher and mix it with live TV camera feeds for a live sporting event.

Set your deck to internal and regen timecode and it should work.

Likely the problem is that there is not a FCP 4.5-Tiger blackmagic driver, so your configuration is not supported. If you are running Tiger, you need to upgrade to FCP 5. If you can’t do that, then consider reinstalling 10.3.8
