Thanks for the info. I’ve got several pix projects in the hopper, and had been putting them off, due to PPRo’s (in)explicable, poor handling of larger pix. The work-around of reducing their size, to (only) help prevent green/black render issues, is a bit more than annoying.

    I’ll be ordering Imaginate.
I didn’t ask, but I’ll assume there are no compatibility issues or gotchas between it and PPro 1.5.1.

    And one other question:

I’ve all but sworn off 3d fx for stills in PPro, with extreme malice, due specifically to the rendering centuries. Does Imaginate do better(faster) in this category?

    Tim:

With respect to Imaginate: Any problems using the Microsoft AVI export files from Imaginate in PPro 1.5.1?

And, How (well) does the Imaginate plug-in for PPro work?

    Thanks and,

I’ve heard there’s a small sense switch on the 200, that gets slightly out-of-whack, and causes the tray problems you describe. A simple adjustment is required. If you’re a tinkerer, you could probably locate and adjust it. If not, that fancy Bravo burner/printer looks like a good, more complete solution.

    Steven:

Thanks alot for that info. I’ve balked on 1.5.1, largely because I’ve no Z.
But this might be the impetus I need. I’ve grown quite weary of downsizing my 2380 x 1704 images to 1200 x 960, just to avoid/sidestep the render bug.

Thanks for the quick test. I know my mileage will probably vary.

Although Adobe says 4000 by 4000 is the absolute limit, memory problems have continued to plague some users who near this limit. This is the case with 1.0 and less so with 1.5. David J’s 1200 by 900 suggestion is a good, conservative limit-I’ve reached as far as 2000 by 2000, and sometimes go as high as 2300 by 2000.

Steven G: If you’ve done any stills work since you upgraded to 1.5.1, have you run into the green/black image bug? I’m hoping Adobe’s revision for HD might have “allowed” them to revisit (read: fix) this troublesome anomaly.

If your keyframes are track-based, and not clip-based, then they will stay with the track, and thus will be out of alignment when you move the clips.
Are far as I can recall, audio automation applies keyframes to the track.
