How much work can the last clip in your timeline need???

    1. Either put a clip somewhere further down.
    2. Or hit the end key to jump to the end of the timeline after it reverts back to the beginning

Yeah I totally agree with you on this! It seems stupid that it cant simply just save the thumnails in a cache as FCP did.

And even if it didnt do that, the fact that you have to scroll through the timeline and bins to have it recognise and create thumnails is also a flaw. Should be able to open the project and it just goes through and loads all thumnails, not just the ones visible on screen at that moment.

    Hi Andrew,

The noise is still very apparent in any low light shots. Low light does not require much either, most indoor conditions without much window light will provide the low light conditions for high noise.

Noise is much more noticeable in wide shots and the level of detail in the footage drops considerably in wider shots. I believe this is just XDCAM.

CU’s are much more detailed and is where this camera is at its best.

I’m not sure what you wish to use the camera for? Broadcast/short film?

Broadcast is about the only place I would recommend this camera, and thats purely for its form factor. Otherwise I cannot recommend this camera, its just way behind in terms of recording quality.

Yes the fix is to place a clip anywhere further down in the sequence as a “stop looping” invention.

  • Still attempting to find the solution to this one? Is there no one out there that can take a quick look at the file and tell me if I’m doing something wrong?

    An additional problem:

I notice that if I put the distribution method of the cloner into anything other than vertex, it does not treat the clones as a single soft body any more? Is this just a broadcast limitation?

I also tried to add a seleciton of just half the sphere to the selection property on the cloner and it works as in it only shows me the selection, but then again the soft body part doesnt work anymore?
