Thanks for responding John. Shaky, I don’t mind, but not usable is another thing. In my sys If you dissolve two HDV clips on the same track, they break up, and leave artifacts in the timeline. Same thing if you bring them under a layer. I guess that leaves ver 10 good for single track cut editing. Of course the same exact thing on ver 8 works fine. Anyone else seeing this?
I’m excited about features, esp .mov which is a big improvement, but this is supposed to be a pro platform.

  • Thanks…I like neoscene…but after a lifetime of dumping avi files, I still resist the extra work…appreciate the advice.

  • Thanks Noah…that’s what I needed to hear. If you don’t transcode, is there any quality difference on render, or just OS smoothness while editing?

    Thanks,

    Craig

Been burning up the blogs trying to answer 2 questions.

1 For now what is the best import solution to get .mov to play well in Vegas (8) Neoscene, Pinnacle 14, or Upgrade to V 9?

2 Any ideas on the best PC slow mo solution when shooting 1280×720 60P? On vegas it imports with normal audio, but double time vid.

Thanks, long time vegas user, stuff on earthflight.com
