vegas 10 dissolve flicker
Posted by Craig Peyton on October 30, 2010 at 10:54 pmOn veg 10 when I am doing a simple timeline dissolve I get these jigsaw images,in the disolve, that stay embedded in the timeline after I un-dissolve. Also getting lower layers showing through top layers…
Formats are DV HDV and HD, anyone else having these issues?
Thanks, I’m trying to hold off, being pissed I upgraded.

Is it possible that you moved the track opacity slider on the track header by accident? This will cause lower tracks to show through. Make sure the opacity slider is at 100%.

Don’t be silly. You got in on the deep discount and Sony will iron out the bugs and you’ll be glad you have the latest version. Vegas Pro 10.0 is a major upgrade that has included the ability to run Open FX plug-ins like Boris Continuum Complete (BCC7) and more are on the way. Yea, 10.0a is still a bit shaky but it will stabilize… it always does.

October 31, 2010 at 2:10 amThanks for responding John. Shaky, I don’t mind, but not usable is another thing. In my sys If you dissolve two HDV clips on the same track, they break up, and leave artifacts in the timeline. Same thing if you bring them under a layer. I guess that leaves ver 10 good for single track cut editing. Of course the same exact thing on ver 8 works fine. Anyone else seeing this?
I’m excited about features, esp .mov which is a big improvement, but this is supposed to be a pro platform. -

My dissolves are artifact-free. -

October 31, 2010 at 2:14 pmYea, I can’t reproduce your problem either. This is something unique to your system. Not sure why you are seeing it in 10 and not 8 but I don’t see any problems with dissolves or multiple tracks in Vegas Pro 10a.
