Yep we (adstream) are the worlds biggest digital content agencies, Stand 3.141 !!!!

We deliver commercials, TV – radio and print all over the world, we normally recieve content from QT – MEG2 (422)

Looking forward to any Apple releases as this makes me work a little harder on file deliver formats !!

We normally add the Swap fields filter and re render the smalliest amoutn of footage where needed …..

We are also having issues with PhotoJpeg 75% on playout of the BM Extreme, it cant figure what the fileds are – if any !!! so any comps dont in AE or elsewhere with motion bluring it freaks out ……

    Try the swap fields filter

    Good Luck !

The way i normally do it is like this.

16×9 Sequence with 4×3 footage (pillarbox) make the 4×3 -33.33
16×9 Sequence with 4×3 footage (titl and scan) make the 4×3 -33.33 and 120 scale (tilt and scan away !!!)

    Hope it helps

PS I only work in PAL …

Howdy, Try downloading the FREE AVID DV progam, this installs a majority of the CODECS from AVID ….

    Cheers

  • The best bet is Cleaner 6.5 – it rocks for Multiplexed MPEG 2 4:2:0

Make sure they want 4:2:0 and not 4:2:2

Another brilliant thing is from MANICONCEPT https://www.mainconcept.com/products.shtml

    makes 422 and 420
    regards

  • We deliver commercials throughout UK, Ireland, USA, Australia and Europe, we send out a MPEG2 422 at 26MBS, but I have made most of our prosummer clients use photoJpeg at 75%, if you use a black and white board and then ZIP it the file sizes are about 150 – 200MB per commercial, this allows the production companies to FTP the commercial to us in London and then we QC, ingest it as MPEG2 422 @25mb and distribute via out private network to the TV stations, PhotoJpeg does have it’s downsides, it hates BLACK …….

What is the hack for Photo in RT ????
