  • Your source files as already captured should contain the original timecode. Easy enough to check that 1st.

It should be no problem to take those files into another system and the timecode will be retained.

Your problem might be getting the logging info from one system to the next. I do not think a batch capture log will cross platforms across applications but I might be wrong and a CSV file may help.

I have found EDL import in Premiere to work fine but others have had problems with drop frame and non drop frame. ( I work in PAL so no issues for me)

Swapping platforms regularly might cause problems (I would suggest)

  • Change the border width in the options may help.

  • You do not have to run “AUTO SAVE” and it can be a problem.

Get in the ‘CTRL-S” habit and hit it often. Also use “SAVE COPY” and write over it regulary

Sorry but it is unlikely that you will ever open the corrupt Project – been there but I did follow my own advice above and was able to open the Copy (lost about 1/2 days work though)

I do not believe there is such a short cut available.

Double click with the mouse will do it tho’

Fundamentally it just can not work.

What would 2 editors working on the same project independently achieve ?

    Solution:

Split the editing tasks or give them two chairs at the same machine….

Tasks that split could be story editing, graphics, track laying, comping, color grading, FX/transitions

It is easy enought to import in components and sequences.

The flicker wont only be seen on the light sources (the tubes)…it will also be seen on what ever they are illuminating (usually)

I doubt you can fix it because the “flicker” is usually accompanied by a phase effect that dims and brightens the output of the fluro over a short time.ie ..its not actually an on/off flicker but more lke a sine wave.

I am not familiar with that camera but…you may have phantom power turned on for the XLR channel. Turn it off.

BTW – this has nothing to do with “nesting”.
