You need the Color Finesse Plug in for AE or PP. ( I think they do it for PremPro but definitely for AE) – I know of no other CC plug in for Adobe products that has secondaries.

The tracks in PremPro are either Stereo, mono or 5.1. and you can only place respective audio to those tracks.

You can create additional tracks appropriate. The Countdown leader audio you created will be stereo.

Don’t jump…we can get you thru’ this .

BTW – you can use any single frame of audio that you want as your “pip” sound.

You might want to look at the OMF Exporter plug in for PremPro – just released (today) by AutomaticDuck.

PIP is not picture in picture in this case.It is pronouced as it looks “pip” (as in tip , rip, flip)

It is the sound of a one frame tone (usually 1000hz)

The pip frame is usually at 2 secs on the countdown leader.(It is a single frame that says “2”)

Create a countdown leader in Premiere Pro and you will see exactly what I mean.(It is very simple)

In a multi track edit you would put a countdown leader on the video – Vid 1 and Audio 1 (that is the default)

Now you need to duplicate the audio track and put it on all the other audio tracks so each “pips” sounds on two.

Now you have a reference point for all audio to video that you can get back to after your processing in Audition.

Could I suggest page 124 of the manual will explain this better than anyway I can.

…and duplicating a clip can be done many ways. I would edit the footstep 1st, save as a named file.

Depending on how many footsteps are required would determine next step ( pardon the pun)

duplicating the named file a number of times by renaming each (name +number suffix)would be one consideration.

I also am not pushing too hard for any new version of Premiere. I am happy enough as it is and willingly acknowledge nothing is ever perfect.

I would like the software (PremPro) and the hardware (Matrox RTX 100) to be 100% joined at the hip , solid, stable , functional before anyone does anything else. I would like them to talk more and sort the issues out first eg Matrox and Premiere have different and opposing opinions on handlig DV field order. (upper / lower).

Any new version is usually just another way to make money from premature releases that in my opinion prey on “must-have impetuous” consumerism. The result is patches , fixes, workarounds that continue up until the next bigger , better, best ever “new” version release.

The titler contains some preset masks that will do this simply and easily.

If you need to get a 16:9 reference (so you can build one from the masks)google search and there are plenty of them.
