Inversing a garbage matte is a feature I would like ( I have put in a feature request). It is handy if you wish to keep the “outside” of the garbage matte to create a frame for an insert. eg a TV set or a billboard. The problem with workarounds is that you need to “draw” your garbage matte on the actual clip eg the TV set, not on the clip image that you want to insert.

It is available in AE ( as an Inverse Check box)so would seem simple enough.

    Cheap and flexible ( brilliant)

  • “alt-arrow” key will nudge the clip 1 frame.

    “Shift-alt-arrow” will nudge 5 frames.

Possibly an audio issue. Not enough stereo or mono tracks in the section of the timeline where you are dragging your clip to.

Slow motion is a special case effect because it changes the length of the clip.

In a nest the clips are all contiguous. They need to expand and make room for each other. This can cause problems even in the original timeline unless you allow “room”.

Yes there is in fact…”nest the sequence” in a new sequence.

If you have a Matrox RTX card this is a known issue and they are not available to you.
