How does CF do with stills added to a timeline? I plan to edit stills first in aperture and then import them into FC and then continue to edit from there.

If I were you, I would do a very detailed search on your drives to find copies of the original media. If you still have copies of the original media, I would update to the latest version of FC and start again by importing. If there are no copies of the actual media then there is nothing that will work.

Interesting, Bill. So much easier to adjust the exposure levels of your camera, after setting your lights and framing your shots, even manually. Not sure why it matters if the b.g. does not stay completely the same. And for your suggestions to work you would need to be very sure that none of the light on the subject spills on your b.g.

But I will keep this suggestion in mind if I ever need the b.g. to appear identical from shot to shot.

Doesn’t grey appear too much within images of people/clothing?

Maybe you could do a rough mask around each subject but leave enough of the recorded grey so you don’t have to worry about edges and bleeding and so forth. Or maybe every other shot rotate between two different color tones.

Thanks. I went on the side of conservative and copied one of the short films to the new pair or raids. Because I’m putting it on a different drive all the media needed to be relinked. I remember being able to just tell FC to relink media and could easily locate all the media files. But now it seems I had to relink one at a time? Is there a quick wholesale way of doing this?

That was my concern when I posted.however the 52watts is from the chart they referred me to when I called them.

So I could easily plug in my iMac and up to 10 daisy chained raids? I need 4 pegasus raids and 2 mercury raids. into one outlet/surge protector. If its safe. of course the room circuit would include the lighting and every thing else in the room if its all on one circuit. the panel is not labeled.

but if its covered by the surge protector’s 15 amp max that would make me feel safe about it

What had me confused was the

5A:

pegasus R4: input 100-240 vac, 50-60hz, 5A.

But i gather that is not power consumption? According to an article i just found the power consumption on an R4 is 52watts.
And a 20amp circuit can provide 2400 watts according to another article.
