    Thanks Ty I follow that.

    what about the second question:

The comprehensive is stereo – is that ok? does the transmitter output stereo?

Also if Sennheiser’s is not balanced why do they say it is?

    Thanks

Makes sense since AFAIK mini plugs = unbalanced

    Is that true?

    This is why I asked

    “The Sennheiser CL 2 is a 4.9′ (1.5m) long connecting cable with a lockable 1/8” (3.5mm) mini-jack and

    balanced

3-pin XLR female connector. The cable is specifically designed for connecting the evolution series portable EK transmitters to the professional audio outputs on microphones and line level devices.”

    Thanks TY,

If you use an unbalanced cable (not sure what these are in this regard) wouldn’t it be more prone to interference even if it “works”? Or if it is the wrong type it just wouldn’t work?

    Thanks Ty,

Is the CL2 the right cable? It’s too long is there one that is correct that I can order?

I tried the comprehensive cable and it sounds fine. I listened with headphones on the camcorder and the 302. Does that mean its ok or still might experience problems down the road?

If you save a bunch of clips into a folder in the finder (and I do this for media cards) with the date you want them all to have (I use the date of the shoot), FC will identify those clips as belonging to that collection.

Generally speaking I have found with media files in the finder that the latest Mac Os’s are inconsistent when it comes to date modified. Sometimes I get done making changes to a library but it will not be listed as latest library in finder; but if you look inside it, as you suggest, you should see the latest mod of each component. But I’m always a little uncertain, and showing content of library is way more time consuming and confusing than just checking the library list. Sometimes I want to check to make sure I updated on my media drive and not my back up drive. To have to dig into two libraries is a pain.

Is the export/reimport a good way to easily use a compound clip without changes rippling to other uses?
