October 24, 2016 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Layer disappears after enabling as Envirorment Layer

So I just had this happen to me, only I really wanted the environment layer to be used as a reflection, so the background workaround mentioned above was no help to me. After bashing my head on the wall a couple times, because the other 3 projects I just did worked fine doing this, I realized my “Fast Previews” was set to “Fast Draft” instead of “off”. So turning this to “off” instantly made my environment layer appear. From which I set to reflection only and so on……

Looks like that did the trick. Strange though because I set it as 1920×1080 for the size….. I guess the video codec setting overrides that.

Exporting at XDCAM422 gives you the true 1920×1080

    Thanks for all the input.

Yeah the network is not accepting ProRess422 but they will accept XDCAM. It’s odd because my settings in media encoder show 1920 and not 1440, but final output is at 1440 for some odd reason.

Ok, well forget all that. Surprised no one could shine some light on this for me. Reading another post I figured out that the frame blending was turned on and that was causing my issues.

So anyone reading this if they are having the problem, just turn off frame blending.

Well I found a work around.

My timeline I am editing in is DVCProHD with the field order set to upper. When I move the ramp to another timeline and switch the field order to none there is no problem. I export it with no fields and then import that and put it back into my regular timeline with Upper field first. It has no issues at all and looks good.

Any in-site would still be greatly appreciated. Thanks

June 1, 2009 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Unistalling P2PCCard – Machitosh

I have been trying to do this uninstall and have done the above removal of the file.

But when I try to install the P2PCCard Install.pkg, it is tell me I already have a earlier version of the software and it cannot install…

Anyone have any ideas why this would still happen? Thanks

I am having the same problem as well. The people at Dual Adapter said you need to be running the P2 driver version 1.33

I did this and it still does not work….. I am on a Mac Book running Leopard.

February 12, 2009 at 2:49 pm in reply to: HPX 500 – Getting 2 recording off 1 master?

    Thanks for the help guys.

I think I am just going to position myself in between the 2 cameras. That way I can hit the record button on the lens for the left one, and hit the record button on the front of the right cam. Should work without too much waste on Cam B.

Weather has delayed the shoot anyway……. Now maybe I can find someone to help me out for some whiskey. I have some really good stuff! HAHA

Remote? Not the HVX, but the HPX…… it did not come with a remote…..did not think it had the capability to be controlled by a remote….am I missing something?
