It’s the color bars from the tape that are purple(and
the images)

Although I can’t imagine something is wrong there if the external video is set to Kona LHe 1920 1080i 8bit and sequence preset is set to Kona LHe prores 422 1920 1080i
but I’ll check this tomorrow

Take a HD image of a close up of a person who’s face goes from a smile to a serious face in the normal speed, slow that down in fcp so this proces takes 1 minute and watch the sharpness of the resulting image closely
