yes, if the computer becomes too hot.
and the fast settings are for quick previews, if you want to see, for example, if the video syncs to the music

  • I’m using AVCHD now (.ts) and it works fine in sony vegas, but when I even select a mt2s file in vegas from the import box, it will crash.
But i’m now using after effects on a new computer and still using .ts files. So maybe it’s also something with your computer

  • The problem is solved, I just updated sony vegas 9 to “e” and now I can import them. Still unable to open 10e though.
Thanks for all the help !

  • The error message was about compability, I was able to choose the recommended settings or choose to look for other problems. (i’m dutch so I try to translate it) and I was able to choose from vista service pack, xp service pack etc. and I the computer automatically chose xp service pack 2 and I started the vegas installer and it said: “you need at least windows 7, vista pack 3 or xp pack 3 to run this program” so I did it with xp pack 3 and installed it and now I’m still unable to open it. I can open vegas 9 but I dont even get the loading screen from 10.

  • I have installed the codec pack (someone said that would fix the problem) so I will uninstall them and reinstall vegas and look if I still get the error message.
And I will set it to .TS but is that the same quality? I also have some clips I already recorderd in .MT2S so I try if it works for vegas 10e without codecs pack and if that doesn’t work I think I have to convert them to wmv or something

  • thanks for the reply. I downloaded 10e and some weird messages popped up. something with compability and now if I want to open sony vegas, it doesnt open. Even if I open it as administrator.
