Thanks John, Rick and Todd for you insight. The ring light sounds great. I won’t have one in time for the shoot, however I have a small LED that I may try as the eye light.
Todd, the talent will be centered in the frame. I’m thinking of shooting a medium shot shot in 1080. In the edit, I will cut in a 720 timeline to allow for a punch in when needed.
The tone of the video is somber, similar to a United Way promotional video. I was thinking of shooting on a white background and let the talent tell their story without the distraction of a background. I may play with the background lighting and try a circular gradient effect.

Thank you Patrick. Unchecking gang to program worked, however I am disappointed that this must be unchecked. I use the reference monitor all the time and ganging to the program is a must. I guess I will have to toggle back and forth to use the tracking.

Used curves to demonstrate the problem. I brought down the mids of the entire image and created a circle mask, feathered to around 50. Then attempted to track the face. The image does not move substantially, but enough movement for the tracker.Does it work on other formats?
Have not attempted this. I will try and report back.Does it work in a new project?

Hi Kevin. After I have set the effect and mask, I click track forward and Premiere’s tracking progress haults after the first keyframe. I can manually track frame by frame, but can not track forward. Gang to reference monitor is checked.

Here are my recommendations:
- Like others have said, you need an external audio recorder. I love the Tascam DR 40
- Wide Angle lens. I first started with a Tamrom 17-50. Great affordable lens
- Get an on-camera led light panel. Great for run and gun interview, and it runs on batteries
- I highly recommend the manfrotto fluid head monopod
Get the right equipment and make sure you can pack light. You need to be mobile. That is very attractive to corporate clients. Be light and fast and produce great quality.

I would highly recommend using websites like The Music Bed and Song Freedom. There’s a lot of great, high quality music. Using mainstream songs for a wedding video is a headache and often times not reasonable when you factor in licensing cost.

Mark and Richard, thanks for your insights on this. I figured this was about as best as I can get it. This project won’t allow for gels on the windows, unfortunately.
I like the card print-off idea. That should help with the coloring. Thanks again for the tips guys!

To answer you previous questions, the phone was one of the Galaxy models on the Verizon 4G network.
I’ll follow up this thread with my own result. Hoping it can be as good as Matt’s example.

Eric and Ty, thanks for your replies. I think you are right, the shooter did have a cell phone with them.
We are not on a set. Our environment is similar to documentary shooting. I know that phones have been on the shooting location many times.
Are some audio capture devices prone to this problem more than others? I have not had this issue with our Sony Wireless Lavs. What are your suggestions on trying to remove the noise?
