yeah, i have monitored it from the deck and it’s in sync. anything else you can think of?

wayne, i do know what the frame offset is for and i have already tried that. i have tried adjusting the audio/video settings >device control>playback offset, audio/video settings >device control>capture offset, and system settings >playback control>frame offset. so far none of this is working.

the frame offset is set at 0. any other ideas?

shane, you rock. i actually had it in a bin, but i had option clicked the bin to open it as a tab. when i opened the bin by clicking it’s little arrow to reveal it’s contents and then used the frame rate converter, it worked.

i’m not sure how much you want to spend, but i just got the m-audio bx5a speakers for $299 and they’re working out great. you will need to by a separate cable to run them from your computer’s mini audio jack to their larger 1/4″ input.

thanks for all the input. i am monitoring the audio and video on my 23″ apple display. the deck is not even connected when i’m watching the playback of my captured clips. so, how could the firewire be the issue? unless, the delay is happening upon capture?

do you mean just changing the .bwf to .wav will save me the trouble of using bwf2xml to convert the files? is it really that easy?

thanks a lot. i’ll try this for the time being and see how it works out. i had heard that the timecode info would be lost, but maybe that source was mistaken. hopefully, 5.1.2 will alleviate the problem all together.
