On a canon you cannot do 1/48 shutter speed. It has to be 1/50th.

Its the same, they just moved the buttons around some. You are actually shooting movies manually when you set exposure to manual in menu. The menu just needs a software update so that the orange (settings for manual) are in both video and manual area.

LOL @ In this case the bus is going to drive off a cliff.
I’ll take my chances not being on it.
Good one J Hussar!
I never thought of it that way 🙂

He is also using what I believe is 7D, I didn’t look that close, but menu items are just moved around some. However he had to go to the M just the same to access full menu of items for film. My guess is those settings apply to both.

Shane Hurlbut has a video explaining the setup, and one line from it states this. If you are not on the M setting dial you do not have access to the FULL options of camera, even the ones for film. So yes it applies :).

I made a huge mistake in trying to define what I thought to be Apples vision with X in that forum. The day it came out mind you. I needed a kevlar body suit, not just a helmet. Whats so funny is, it wasn’t even out long enough to read the help manual, much less cut anything of significance with it. Oh well as time passes it will get better I think.
Whats even more strange is most of the disdain comes from people who admittedly haven’t purchased it. /boggle.

Try using the < or > keys after making a selection. It works pretty well …
Paul,
That is entirely to simple. I mean why not push Command, alt, option, plus 5 instead? Effiencency is not a widely held concept in this forum. Actually they should have released foot pedals with Final Cut X as well. A hardware solution to compliment the complexity that old schoolers are looking for.“Get on the bus or get run over by it.” Love that quote.

I would have went with 7D or 5D a few months back, but they do not get upgrades like the prosumer right below 7D. Its generally about the glass anyway. The 60D articulating screen is very nice, but NOT for what many would consider the plus. I like it to protect my screen when I am not using it. Sure you can get screen guards, but as with Iphone I hate some plastic garbage covering up the beauty that is my screen. Plus internal updates hardware wise were latest and greatest. I do more video than I do stills is another reason.
When 7d/5d get their upgrades, I will probably step up to 5D, until then I am happier than a pig in mud with my 60D. I also love my Sigma 2.8 70-200.
“We’ll fix it in post” I love to hear that.
