The camera work is amazing. How they keep the horizon so stable is beyond me. Maybe steady cam or Movi, but it is amazing.

I shoot sports and like to use 60p instead of 30 p because it does improve the slow motion sequences. Of course the faster the frame rate, the less light captured, which could be a problem shooting under water where the light level is likely very low.

With Aperture fading away, I keep thinking about Adobe Lightroom, but a paranoid voice in my head says, after you use Photoshop and Lightroom, you are a slave to that monthly bill, otherwise a lot of work could be down the drain.
So here is hoping Apple doesn’t go all subscription on us. -
Interesting to see the Arri and Red films. The Lone Ranger made both Kodak and Arri because they used both in filming it. I saw a liked Red films, Lucy, The Counselor, Flight and Ellysium.

Interesting list. It would be interesting to see a list of Hollywood movies shot digitally with comments on what the digital medium used was. Some are done in Sony 4k such as a Million Ways to Die in the West. That one definitely had a digital look. Lucas shot the 4th Star Wars all digital long ago and it got a lot of criticism for its look.
At the other end there is still a community shooting Super-8, but it is so grainy I find it hardly watchable.

Great video. I think the reason it is hard to switch steering systems on a bike is that riding a bike is not an intellectual concept, it is deeper in the brain, muscle memory and probably reptilian brain, No time to process it in a conscious form. Same with playing a piano, hitting a tennis shot. Learning this is more or less hardware driven not software. He is right that at an early age, it is easier to rewire.
Using jkl and i o on FCPX is the same kind of thing. I am glad that I work for myself and don’t have to switch from x to 7 to PPro. OK, that labels me as over the hill, but there is some truth to that.
