Oops, correction. In looking at the MOV clips in the capture scratch folder, I noticed that they are listed as XDCAM EX

Thank you so much, Michael. The clip is listed as MPEG-2 video with Linear PCM audio. So am I correct in assuming that when you edit with these MOV files in FCP you transcode to ProRes when editing/outputting?

Thanks, John. Yes, my FCP and A/E settings are matched at 23.976. I’m wondering if perhaps some of the moves are happening at a rate the processor cannot handle? Could this be a lack of persistence of vision caused by the 24p frame rate or could I have insufficient drive space?

Thanks, Bill. I think I may have rendered some of my previous Motion projects with the wrong timecode base and hence the odd stuttering problem in FCP. Duh!!
