Quit Avid, delete _SearchDB_ file in SearchData folder, launch Avid.

Yes. HDMI will do 5.1 PCM/Dolby/DTS/Dolby-TrueHD/DTS-MA. Optical will only do 2.0 PCM and 5.1 Dolby/DTS. I don’t think QuickTimes are capable of Dolby-TrueHD/DTS/DTS-MA.

It doesn’t seem that it’s enough that they are in the correct order before using the Compressor channels setting. If you don’t set the pan of each channel in QuickTime Pro before sending the file to Compressor, then each channel stays panned to mono and the resulting file has all the audio in the first two channels (L & R) panned to mono and the rest of the channels (C, LFE, LS, RS) are silent.

Well, the Avid Project type states that it is 1080p/23.976 — no “psf” in the name there at all. So why isn’t the Kona LHi displaying that over HDMI?

Final Cut Pro can switch to 1080p23.98 and play via HDMI through the Kona LHi. And the Blackmagic Intensity Pro plays Avid MC6 1080p/23.98 projects via its HDMI out. Why do these exceptions work?

So how is it that the Blackmagic Intensity Pro is able to display to HDMI from Avid MC6 1080p/23.976 projects? I started testing MC6 with the Blackmagic card and have now seem to hit a roadblock with KONA LHi.

Clip > modify > set source > select tape > ok > change tape name to , ok again > the clip(s) you have selected could not be modified. 1 is a master clip and could notnbe modified unless unlinked. > ok

Tape name ends up not being changed via this chain of selections.

    Avid media composer ver 5.

    What am I doing wrong?

I get this too (ver 6.0.6 on OS 10.4.11) — video and audio on all clips are done by 11:28:26:02, yet the multiclip carries on in blackness until 11:32:28:08 — that’s a length of 4:02:07, the rest is 2:04:21, so almost double the length of the legitimate sources is being wasted on blackness.
