When importing the AVCHD into premiere, utilizing the Media Browser, this ensures that the MTS files will come in properly, with all of their audio. This also helps if you have any AVCHD files that are spanned across multiple clips.

I just had this battle with them. I have the HP Z230 workstation with a 4GB GPU and 32GB of ram, and it bogs down my entire workflow. For some reason, it doesn’t happen on my Mac Pro workstation. I switched from Denoiser II on my PC to Neat Video, same results, but faster render times.

December 1, 2015 at 9:34 pm in reply to: 8 hour rendierng, not even a third done, are you kidding me?Hey Kell,
I usually drop everything into Media Encoder and export DNxHD 185 and DNxHD 36. I work off of the 36, and apply filters and everything with that, then when I lock picture, I re-link to the DNxHD 185. This keeps all of the filters and effects you apply to the low res footage, and you don’t end up having to work with super huge files, speeding up your edit time. Takes up a bit more space on your hard drive to begin with, but it’s worth it in the long run.

I second both NeatVideo and Denoiser II. Both work great. If you have a slower GPU and a low amount of RAM, NeatVideo would be a better bet, Denoiser II tends to bog down your workflow quite a bit when it’s being used.

Dave,
Yes I have the audio turned on in the module, and the comp previews with audio just fine. I had no problem when sending to media encoder, just when exporting from after effects render queue.

Thank’s Dave. That’s what I ended up doing. Luckily I wasn’t too far along into the project before I brought my audio in.

June 30, 2015 at 6:56 pm in reply to: Is there any way to import 3DS file into After Effects CS6?Hello Maji,
There is a program called “Element 3D” made by video copilot that will allow you to do this. Although, I believe the CS6 and on have Cinema 4D Lite built into it, so you might want to check out that route if you will be doing 3D renderings often.

I tried choosing “Set Proxy” from the output module. Still defaults to .avi. I wouldn’t mind so much, if the resulting “Proxy” wasnt 44GB.
