premiere doesn’t handle 2.4 gamma unless you use a lut because it doesn’t support color management-> at all. most video players not setup will also default to 2.2. you have to setup resolve and AE very specifically. If you want to burn in the colorspace, you can use AE’s utility profile converter or a 1D gamma lut, make sense? and oh yea, premiere won’t support color higher than sRGB so P3/adobe rgb won’t work either.

anything default is gamma 2.2. your is set to 2.4….

tiff is just an image format. slog is just a gamma curve. anything lossless compressed should be fine. even 8 bit as your camera is only 8 bit.
the thing is, if you do any de-grain/denoise, you’ll need 10 bit to retain the dithering quality. -
true, you have to nail white balance in camera. there is no perfect camera, only perfect DP’s.

shoot with a color chart. you’ll thank me later.

in AE, find edges as alpha matte for smart/fast blur works really good for blurring sharpness. can you test the filters and compare? some aren’t that strong.

if you shoot slog2 not slog3 you shouldn’t have any problems grading. the gh5s doesn’t handle the shadows as well as the a7sii. and the gh5s doesn’t have ibis, so… yea you may want to hold off till the a7siii.

the hdr box enables some roll off features, but disables luts. imho, its kinda worthless right now because you can’t actually grade in rec. 2020. the lumetri color engine doesn’t support any color management besides sRGB/rec. 709, and you can’t export codecs in ST. 2084 gamma in true rec. 2020 color.
sRGB and Rec. 709 are the same thing if the rec. 709 is 2.2 gamma. they have the same color primaries. there are differences in 16-235 luma and 204 sat color for broadcast limits.if you use other tools that are not lumetri, it may be possible to grade in higher than sRGB in AE only(not premiere). opencolorIO plugin is one example because it supports larger gamuts in ACES colorspace.
