if you feel like buying something, then cineform software will capture your camera video, change inter to intraframe and you won’t have to spend time re-encoding anything just to use it.

lol just use transition dissolves in animation presets. use animation browse presets to view all the work AE already had done, like…transition movement card wipe 3-D pixelstorm.
    fiddle with the presets.

yes, alpha levels will make objects become tunable alpha channels inside themselves.

You can set masks to intersect or subtract which will create custom track mattes. then duplicate the layers and set tracks to alpha.

if you used cineform’s codec, it would have converted inter to intraframe and you’d keep compression and have no problems.

you’re looking to change an illegal broadcast chroma without it turning ugly. Use a smart interpolater like color finesse or red giant broadcast. There might be a free way to do it and creative cow had something about checking it so I’m sure the tutorial talks about fixing it.

  • if you enable disk cache, the rendering time will be cut in half. It will retain places you cached while viewing. All those little green lines will stay there and be used to render output so the computer won’t have to start from scratch. The downside is you would want a fast separate hard drive or interaction will be sluggish.
