normalizing at 0db should raise the digital amplification. Then multiband compressor should keep it from spiking hard.

“the reason pro monitors are so expensive is because they have to be extra high end to keep up with the obsolete CRT monitors in terms of colors, dynamic range, black levels, etc. Remember when lcd’s didn’t handle black very well because it took a while for the leds to dim? Get yourself a CRT on ebay equal to a pro $5,000 monitor for like, maybe $50. Use quickgamma free gamma calibrator software or something similar.

When it gets darker, saturation goes down and contrast goes down and things get cooler.
my ae project has auto white balance, midtone contrast, flicker removal and shadow averaging taking all this into consideration. key frame the clamp slider so that the textbox hovers around 25%. The process should almost fully automatic.

23.976 with wwssw 3:2 pulldown should work for standard dvd.

GBdeflicker is cheap. tinderbox used to be for after effects.
Ae has warp stabilizer for motion and auto levels, auto color for flicker, but I’ve had the best luck with my auto white balance flicker removal project I made a long time ago. 25% on the textbox is the sweet spot for clamp.ae cs3 aep

Some expensive projectors have a wall shot button that white balances automatically. i.e. You see a sequence of colors flash for approximately five seconds while the sensor measures the conditions of the projection surface and adjusts the image.
IF you don’t have that feature, you can eyeball it with selective color or try my auto w/b.
I wrote a project a while back that will automatically remove tints of any color. It also works on incorrect camera settings and old film.
1. just record the projected image on the yellow wall with a camcorder then import and replace the video in the project. It has optional furthur tweaking on master control sliders. (important! Stretch it to the exact size!)
2. copy and paste all layer 6’s effects onto your final out comp. The remove tinting effects will now proactively remove themselves before it’s even projected onto the wall.

good luck with that. in raid 0, if either drive fails, you’re screwed on both drives. Also, firewire 800 is significantly slower than e-sata.
Raid 0+1 or 5 can increase speed and prevent data lost, but they require more than 2 drives. Raid 4 doesn’t increase speed but it adds the capacity of drives together and protects again data lost also.
