If its really 24pa, there shouldn’t be any deinterlacing. AE should interpret 3:2 reverse pull down and give you perfect 24 fps.
And frame blending should be off and progressive 24fps to YouTube.
Flicker removal does not deinterlace anyway. It blurs the video horribly to reduce line flickering. There should be none at all.

The old free adobe gamma calibration program cpl is still available. It’s not professional because it uses your eyes to gauge relative color strength and brightness. Better than nothing though.

wow, i’ve never seen it that bad before! I mean, sometimes orange skin or something, but that’s flat out off. Are you using streamclip? (it has a bug)
You should definately try a different codec to upload, see if the codec is not supported for its color transforms. It looks like its trying to convert RGB as YUV.
Once you get the crazyness toned down, try using AE’s utility profile converter set as rec 709. This will burn in the correct color management because youtube doesn’t support it.

the plugin is really good, too bad you’re blocked from a good product; false positive. The multithreading on super resolution is really fast, even faster than realtime.

i would guess that since it looks ok on your color managed monitor, the TV needs some calibration. do both the TV and it’s internet apps look ok except the youtube clip?
if it’s just the new clip, you could try AE’s utility profile converter and burn in rec 709.(0-255) (since youtube isn’t color managed)

this uses adjacent frames to build upscaling. it has a trial. you could compare it to AE’s upscale.

if you interpret AE with fields, you are agreeing to its own method of deinterlacing(preserve is highest). all the other plugins I have ever tried require you to have fields set to off so they can use their own methods. There are many programs that can deinterlace.

7. (if you want to experiment) separate the fields in draft mode and use the other field as a warp guide for effect->timewarp, you can deinterlace often with better quality than AE’s preserve best edges.

8. AE.I also still have the old topaz enhance if you’d like to compare(email an example png) its almost about the same quality as a teranax. But if you feel like scripting, I’d go for QTGMC. It’s optical adaptive like topaz enhance and much better than yadif.

premiere creates new frames by nearest frame match. if you want another way, like time interpolation with optical flow, use that instead. if you just want another way to custmozie frame blending, you’ll have to get avisynth.
