if you’re just coloring for web, sRGB 8bpc gamut is all you need the monitor to support. I wouldn’t blow money on a P3 10 bit monitor, just say’in. just buy a spyder for calibration.

the 4k option will be a big jump in price, so plan accordingly if you have to go that route. it is possible to grade 4k on a non-4k monitor.

if you do have money for it, a blackmagic decklink 4k card, 10 bit Rec 2020 broadcast quality monitor, 10 bit nVidia card etc. but I’m assuming you’re looking for bargain options.

I also made a 16-24fps and 18-24fps frame blend script with edit detection that will only frame blend every other frame. and it will shut off when it sees an edit so you don’t get “gloop”. I’m surprised Adobe doesn’t have this feature built it.

it has a lot less artifacts than twixtor/timewarp, although you can use splines to help twixtor/masks for timewarp, you’re pretty much gonna end up rotoscoping anyway. Whatever framerate conversion you choose, it should be the very last step.

its photoshop and you can do it in there or use AE’s rotoscope feature setting colors to transfer mode color or overlay.

you both are combining multiple effects like lumetri. unfortunately, optical flow only works well with zero effects applied and non-interframe codecs like prores, dnxhd. you have to pre-render out luts, effects etc. before appling optical flow or your RAM will crash premiere.

i see you found the “secret”. try the free patch h.265 with 10 bit same size. RF 18 is bluray quality.
all handbrake is 4:2:0 8 bit unless you get the 10 bit patch. not even adobe can do 10 bit h.264/65.

as a side note, Rf=0 is actually lossless. Yep, h.264/65 YUV lossless!
it also multithreads very fast and uses all cores.

ok well, this is 90% magenta so you will lose some data because its 8 bit 4:2:0. this is what I got nonetheless.
I only used the 16mm HDAVI transfer.

how does this look for you?
i neutralized in premiere with fast color corrector, color punched in AE, re-hue’d, then vibranced and blurred chroma.
