used would help as i can recover stuff magenta tinted up to 80% to original color with just the fast color corrector. if in fact, the scanner didn’t sample at least 4:2:2, then rescan with better hardware.

there is a negligible performance change in isolating rendered clips replaced in the timeline(if codecs are the same and no effects). in fact, hunting through more clips in more places on the hard drive can actually increase render time microscopically due to random read/write times.

instead,

if you use supported smart render codecs, premiere will index the video and export without any recompression. this will be 12x faster for renders and faster editing/scrubbing as well. adobe prelude can transcode them all first.

smart render codecs:

AVC-Intra in MXF (located in Format > MXF OP1a)
DNxHD in MXF (located in Format > DNxHD MXF OP1a)
DNxHD in QuickTime.
ProRes in QuickTime.
Animation in QuickTime.

what do you want, a warble, static noise, or reverberation?
technical, organic, or shifted?

almost any effect maxed out will do distortion, try playing with a few more effects or just blend his with another sound.

can you post a simple raw screenshot of the greenscreen with model? my opinion is that the key isn’t a perfect alpha and
the alpha matte is burning through randomly resulting in noise. so a screeny of the white/black alpha matte would also be a big indicator.

does AE’s keylight work better in intermediate format?
what is your green iRE at?

if what you say is true, then basically taking a pure solid layer in premiere and appling ultra key creates noise, right?
why would it only dislike gh4?

how are you viewing, in full res? output format?

you using XAVC-S? that’s long GOP interframe compression.
XAVC-I is intraframe.

I’m only asking because there’s like 20 flavors out there and even after 3 years, there’s a split about what works fluidly, even from adobe, :O
