I should have been more specific. With a dozen sequences, each one will have it’s own DVD. So if there’s no batch transcode in encore, I suppose I need to try the Media Encoder forum, unless anyone here can provide me with optimal settings in media encoder for my sequences to each be transcoded for their own separate DVDs.

It’s a video recording we taped last week of one of our colleagues here at work. We had a wireless lav on her lapel, and the audio just consisted of this person giving her presentation. It appears that the pan to center solution provided earlier should be sufficient for this project.

Thanks Shane. I cropped the images at 720 x 534 as you suggested. I was unclear about why I needed to resize the image to a height of 480 pixels after I cropped it to 720×534, so I ran a test. It looks like the image shows up within the action safe area if I resize the image to a height of 480 px, but that it leaves a black border around the image too.

My conclusion is that if I want the image to fill up the entire screen without the black border, then I should not resize the 720×534 image to a height of 480px, right? I’ll just need to be aware that the main content in my image will need to stay within what will be the title safe and action safe parameters of the video.

Thanks Steven. Do you ever use the 720×480 NTSC DV preset in Photoshop? If so, how do you recommend using it?

So far I have tried it out by creating a new, blank document using the NTSC preset (which has the 0.9 pixel aspect ratio) then selcting & copying my still image (with a square pixel ratio) and pasting it into the blank NTSC preset document. Then I begin working with that new image to prepare it for my video. Will that give me the same size image that I get when just cropping an image with a square pixel ratio to the 720×534 that you recommended?
