I am using the pro version. They have it at Uni.

Would I be able to create a clean plate in Mocha? Seems like it would be easier to do it all in Mocha than faff around in Photoshop and AE.

I’ve been looking at loads of tutorials for advanced tracking in Mocha. They are helping, I guess, but my problem is that the shot has too much obscurity over areas that would be good to track, and the hard pan at the start doesn’t help either.

Thanks, I’ll give it a shot.

Any other ideas? Like I said, the track was ok, but when I put it into After Effects onto the clean plate it just went mental and didn’t apply properly at all.

Ambient Occlusion provided no difference to render quality unfortunately, it’s probably because the CN logo is basically a flat cube. Anything else I can try? I’ve applied some motion blur and I’ve given it an animated box blur for a depth of field effect.

The shadow on the logo is just because it moves out of the boundary of the area light, but yes I’ll try some ambient occlusion and I was going to add some blur to give a depth of field effect.

Any tips on Ambient occlusion? I’ve never meddled with it in Cinema 4D. I mean, how to specifically get it to look good for compositing.

    Thanks.

  • Yes I’ve had all the cameras activated, my settings are the same that they are in other projects, where I’ve also rendered with the camera and they’ve been fine, but for this one it’s not really working so well..

Doesn’t matter, I just did them all individually 🙂

How do I connect them? I highlight them all and go under structure > but connect is greyed out 🙁

Lol, I worked it out by myself *prides* just created a null object and moved the B motext and the cube object inside it, now they move togeher. Luverrly.

Beautiful, I’ll try this in a minute but I can’t imagine it’s wrong, thank you very much, again! One more question, I don’t want to open a new thread really, how do I pair two objects together so that they move as one? I want to have a large, capital “B” attached to a square block, and have them move together from the front, is this possible? I was thinking pair them both to a null object, but I’m basically talking rubbish as I don’t know how to pair them to a null object – it’s just something I hear being thrown about!
