well yeah, imagine the path a helter skelter slide takes, it spirals down, getting wider as it reaches the bottom. I need a spline that does this, because I want to be spinning round the bottom, and then have the camera move up to focus on the object from top-down.

  • It’s something I have created in Cinema 4D.

It’s a 3D glass square (not a cube) that spins around, when it gets to the flip side, the video will go from 0% to 100% opacity (so the video can’t be viewed through the glass on the front side)

Anyway, I have it done with manual animation but it looks sloppy, will try that Mocha tutorial, thanks!

Derp, I just didn’t have “Render all frames” set. It’s on frame 299 out of 301 now.. Hopefully it goes into AE properly 😀

Oh Wow, I just started up Cinema 4D for the first time and it took about a solid 20 minutes to do what I wanted, now I have a glass-texutred 3 squares that move forward, spin around. Now I need to somehow export the animation (help with this please *1) and then assign the video to the back-side of the player.

I have all the settings set up, render to 720p, render alpha, as per following a video tutorial, but when I click render a window pops up and it only renders one frame, how do I get it to render all frames? as an After Effects Composition. Thanks 🙂

Hrm, you think it would be easier to do in Cinema 4D?

I’m all up for learning a new program. I do want to have something, however small, some progress to be done by the 14th.

    That’s 10 days 😀

Could you please enlighten me on how I could go about creating these three rotating objects in Cinema 4D, then bringing them into after effects to apply a fancy background and put videos on the back side (not the front sides)

    Thank you very much.

Hey, how can I make the text track the background? So as the camera moves, the text appears to be on the actual background in a video?

They do it a hell of alot in Heroes, so there’s definately a way to do it.

    Thanks
