Is there anything I can do within my system (ex. Toast Titanium, DVDSP) that could do a conversion? Even to mini DV? I need timecodes to edit some of the scenes in the VIDEO_ST folder.

maybe I should have clarified the affordability aspect. I heard that the Sony ‘CCD’ models are an affordable choice.

Jeff,

When I click on the layer icon, it makes another layer (layer 1) between the text layer and the background? Is this correct?
I’m following what you gave me for instructions and its not masking out the text.
Could you kindly be a little more specific with this procedure.

How do I drop a different image or video in the background if I am going to use black as an initial background? To go back to my original problem, would I need to blue or green screen? If so, that would open the old can of worms of green or blue reflects on the jewels.
