Maybe Avid is the one buying over the Apple ProApps business to gain back marketshare.

    Plausible…no ?

Yes I did…but the green line is still there and it didn’t show any form of render progress.

  • Just stop the EyeTV and capture only with FCP. That will confirm if EyeTV is causing the conflict.

In my opinion, this setup is just asking for trouble.

    Hi Gary,

I suppose you will need to use the DPX to QT utility from AJA to wrap the 2K DPX files into a 2K Quicktime clip before playing it back in FCP ?

If the file is not too big, would you mind emailing me ? I’ve written to Boris as well but I’m actually going to that machine in about half hour so it’d be nice to get it from you.

    My email is chrispy_mediav@yahoo.com.sg

    Thanks,

    Hi Jerry,

Glad you’re doing fine…I’m doing equally fine.

Sure will be at NAB…hope to see you there. Where will you be most of the time ?

    Hi Jeremy,

What’s the easiest way to delete audio renders for a given sequence ?

Below is a screenshot of the timeline that has the line going halfway across the audio track on the STTD Reel1B 23.98fps sequence and if I play within that line area, the audio is completely off…in fact it is playing from somewhere further down that sequence but if I go into the nest itself, everything is fine.

Any idea what that line above the audio track means ?

Hey Jerry my man…how’s the going ?

So how does FCP end up with the additional 2 audio tracks ?

Yes the problem went away when I copied from within the nest, pasted over the main sequence and then made a new nest out of it.

I don’t think it is a off sync due to a slip edit function as there are no off sync indicator on both the audio and video tracks where there will be a number indicating the number of frames that is offset. I have a screenshot of this audio indicator which I will post it for you to see.

Also, I noticed a quirky behaviour with nested tracks and audio and I will start a new thread on this.
