    Hi,

I noticed a quirky behaviour with nested sequences and audio playback.

Say I have a sequence with 8 audio tracks and I render everything. If I nest it, it will ask to render some of the audio and if I nest it again, it will ask to render as well.

I managed to overcome this by increasing the number of real time audio tracks in the User Preferences or by doing Mixdown render for the audio.

Does FCP thinks that there are more audio tracks when we start nesting it ?

    This is FCP 5.1.4.

I think a nest of 8 tracks of audio would equal 10 tracks of audio… so in effect, yes.

Hey Jerry my man…how’s the going ?

So how does FCP end up with the additional 2 audio tracks ?

It doesn’t really… But the nest “costs” an extra two tracks.

I’m really doing fine I hope you are too. Going to to NAB? We will have to drink many drinks. Non alcoholic of course. LOL..

AJA again most likely… just now firming up the schedule for the show… showing the Io HD last year was really fun, and I’ll wager AJA’s line will grow again at the show… just guessing, but figure that the growth and “hotness” of Red will drive tech at AJA and at Apple.
