I purchased Serge Hamad’s InvigoMany Sports Ball package and you can use the texture and bump maps without ProAnimator and use the CC Sphere and rotation keyframes. I do something similar with a basketballs and baseballs.

I used the above tutorial in a commercial I did for the Providence College Women’s Basketball Team. I placed my logo on a black solid in one composition and placed then place it into my main commercial composition which I used the tutorial for.

I had the same exact question. I do not have the ability to buy an analog to digital video converter and a dvd player, but most of my footage will be on DVD and I need DV quality. Any ideas?
