You should never try and edit video off a USB drive. The data rates are to great a speed hog for the speed of USB. You probably did ok until the drives got a little more filled up.
Tell I.T. (THIS IS WHAT I NEED) and hand them back the USB raid box. Or keep it for back ups.

so much missing info here.

Did you try hooking the camera to the computer?
Was your footage on Tape or Card?

Do you have a Card reader?
Have you installed the P2 Drivers for your op sys?

Do you have a mic?

Please Bob, Some specs:

Sequence and video settings?
Exporting to AME?
Choosing mpeg Bluray preset?

Have you tried coping all the clips from the sequence and pasting it into a new sequence?
Might have a corrupt file/grfx/sequence/project.

For an OS drive – don’t worry about it.
But, Do get 7200 for your A/V drives.

It just means YOU are responsible for any damage to YOU, not them.

But like mentioned here already, get insurance.
You can get a basic Production/liability coverage plan for cheap if you do not own any gear.

I found the USB route to be a little faster then the FW route when transferring from the camera directly. Defys logic I know.

Card reader is the way to go.

Maybe you can power it with a AB brick.

But what are the inputs for this thing?
It’s hardly a field monitor…

29.97 was traditionally a interlaced format and your cam shoots progressive.

30p going to DVD will be 29.97p.

Export from APP – Select the mpeg DVD preset.
Dial in your data rate for max quality to space ratio.
Send to queue to render out using AME.
Take those finished files over to the computer you want to burn them to disc with.
