Then take those DVD compliant files into Encore to author your DVD.Chris

When you shoot interlaced (there are many reasons for doing so) you want to edit interlaced.
When you export, if it’s for web or computer screen, you THEN make a progressive version.
If you deinterlace before editing you are losing resolution/quality/information in your footage.
If you’re just converting footage for editing you should stick to the original format as much as possible.
Convert 1080/60i to 1080/60i or 29.97, it’s the same.

So what are the specs of the clip right now before conversion?
Why do you want to change from interlaced to progressive?

The zoom will record the good(better) audio in this case.
Let the camera record scratch audio for sync.
Get the best mic you can afford and run it into the zoom.
Sync the cam footage and the zoom audio in post.Chris

60i is 60 fields a second not frames. It’s 29.97 FPS
What are the clips specs you are putting into compressor?
What is your end destination?

You do have to move the keyframes. If you have something keyframed at the end of a clip and you grap the tail and shorten the clip in the sequence, the keyframes do not come with it.
