After you Export Media, select Queue, when you get to AME, then at the bottom left, there is time code and an in & out little arrow button.

Now your cursor will be sitting where it was in the sequence so if your going from zero to 3 minutes, park your cursor at the 3 min. mark, export and then just hit the out button and you’ll have that in & out done.

Go back to sequence and do it again for ea. section needed.

There may be other ways, it’s the way I do it.

Software conversion will only yield so-so results when uprezzing SD to HD.

60i would be good if you were going to DVD or Bluray but not essential.

You can preserve a master by outputting your fully rendered and finished edit using “Current Settings” and making it self-contained. This would be your digital master to keep for ever. Use it to compress or deliverables.

SDI out will not improve.
P2 Data Transfer is you best bet, it’s just moving data.

Why not use the Avcintra100 recording mode? It’s full raster.
Does m100 play better with DVCPROHD?
The AVCintra is truly cleaner and holds up really well.

Welcome to Cmos.

I went through the same thing. It is NOT your media100.
It is the camera.

I actually shipped mine into panny a week after I got it. I was convinced something was wrong. They looked it over and said Nope, looks like it should.

CMOS chip cams have a ways to go to perform like CCD.
IMO.

Shooting 60p or 60i yields the best results.
Be mindful of pans and what’s in the scenes.

BEFORE you put the clips in the sequence, control or option (mac) click on the files and change the audio settings to mono.
