Start a Sequence with your 25p footage and then drop in the 29.97, render, it should look fine.

We shoot many flavors of HD and SD on P2 and maintain 4 ch. audio in APP.

You may have to re-link manually but yes, convert the audio files with another program, convert to 48k, stereo, .wav

You can right click on your audio tracks in APP b/4 you drop them into the sequence and change the audio from mono to stereo, etc…

I think Adobe has minor issues with Macs….

You don’t need to know code to create your own DVD menu’s.
In Adobe PhotoShop, create you menu the same size as the dvd – ie: 720×480 for SD.

Import into Encore. There are tutorials around on how to do this with ease.

Do you need ALL your clips in AE?

You can export a ref file to the desktop.

Import that into AE.
Do you work and render out same codec/size/frame rate.

OR

Export just the clip(s) you want to work on in AE.

Drop the clip into a new sequence by itself.

File export “current settings” ref file is fine.

Import into AE, do you work/effects.

Render out matching the same clip specs.
import into FCP, copy replace content on the old clip in the edited piece.

Make sense?

ALWAYS go with 7200rpm or 10,000 rpm on editing drives. You need to confirm drive speed or pass it up.
